Meet the Team
Kiri Staples, PhD
Principal and Lead Consultant
I was born and raised in Whitehorse, on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council. As a consultant, I enjoy problem-solving, facilitating challenging conversations, and collaborating with diverse teams. As a researcher, I get excited about opportunities to be curious, raise up community voices and concerns, and explore qualitative data. In my free time, I can often be found in the garden, on the river, in the mountains, or at the cabin.

Business development
While Frankie is relatively new to the consulting world, she has already brought enthusiasm and energy to the team. Hailing from Haines Junction originally, Frankie is looking forward to building her skills and confidence with NRCG. She enjoys treats, naps, and casual Fridays at the office.
Wait, you are one person and a dog. How are you a "group"? Why do you say "we" when describing your work?
Great question. Kiri here: Most of the work I do is on a team, whether it is co-facilitating with other independent consultants, working on a collaborative research project, or consulting as one member of a technical team. I have an extensive network of independent consultants that I trust and enjoy collaborating with, and will often bring them on board on a project-by-project basis. When I describe the work I do, it simply doesn't feel right to imply that I did it alone.
